Next Level Pin Ball

Did you know one of the world’s largest arcades and world’s largest collections of vintage lunchboxes is right here in Hillsboro, Oregon? Next Level Pinball Museum, a 27,000-square-foot pop culture museum and arcade with more than 690 pinball and arcade games, with over 640 on free play. But the games are only part of the experience. The walls are packed with vintage lunch boxes, signed movie memorabilia, toys, collectibles, and all kinds of nostalgic pop culture!

The Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals

Did you know there’s a museum in Hillsboro where you can see glowing rocks and a fossilized dinosaur egg nest?The Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals is the largest earth science museum in the Pacific Northwest, with more than 20,000 specimens. And it’s housed in a historic 1953 ranch-style home that was the first ranch-style home in Oregon listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Inside, you’ll find incredible crystals, fossils, minerals, and even rocks that glow under UV light.The museum became a nonprofit foundation in 1996 and a Smithsonian Affiliate in 2015. There is so much to discover there, I can’t believe I didn’t go sooner!

Stoneberg Alpacas

This farm is one of my happy places! It’s farmer owned and operated, so they know their animals so well! All of the alpacas have names and you can tell they’re just living their best lives! Stoneberg Alpacas has so many amazing seasonal vendor markets, so be sure to follow them on Instagram and Facebook for all their upcoming events! I’ve been able to offer portraits in the pasture, with the alpacas, at a few of their events this year and it’s truly so much fun. You definitely want to check out a vendor market at Stoneberg and you can book your 30 min photo session with me in advance!!

Shoot 360 Hillsboro

This started out as a collaboration and I enjoyed it so much that I became a member!! Shoot360 combines cutting-edge technology with personalized coaching to help improve your shooting, passing, and ball handling—all while tracking your progress through the app. Whether you’re just getting started, getting back into the game, or looking to level up your skills, it’s such a fun and interactive way to train. It’s a WORKOUT!! I was seriously SO SORE after my first session and I’m a spin class regular!

One of my absolute favorite stays so far this year has been Lake Simtustus Resort in Madras, Oregon. Back in May we booked a luxury tiny home stay for a few days and I could have stayed for weeks. Our dog didn’t want to leave either and that says A LOT. Usually she has a hard time relaxing in new environments, but she loved the lake view and watching boaters and kayakers from the patio quickly became her favorite activity. The Crown Point tiny home we booked had a small fenced in yard with a hot tub, gas grill, fire pit, and outdoor table set for dining with a view. Waking up to a stunning view of the lake and surrounding hills definitely made for a memorable trip. There is also a restaurant nearby, the Dockside Grill & Bar, if you need a break from cooking meals in your tiny home. Within walking distance of the Crown Point tiny homes, you’ll find a store filled with snack, drinks, and toiletries which comes in really handy. You can even find Lake Simtustus merchandise in the store so you’ll definitely want to check it out before you leave. Next time we visit, I’m absolutely making time for the sauna and a kayak rental! If you’re looking for a relaxing pet friendly stay, definitely add Lake Simtustus Resort to your list.

This summer was filled with so many local adventures proving you don’t have to go far for summer fun. I found experiences I had no idea existed and revisited experiences that have become summer traditions. So before I start checking things off my fall adventure list, here’s a little roundup of some of my favorite adventures from summer 2026.

Located at 12814 NW Bishop Rd in Hillsboro, Oregon; this was my second year in a row attending this event and it seems to get better each time! There are so many great vendors, live music and activities for all ages! The festival is held the first and second weekends in July, tickets are usually $10, and there is convenient parking (which is always a plus).

This summer was the first time I visited the sunflowers in years and I was completely surprised by the size of the fields. I didn’t know if it was the fact that I hadn’t visited in a few years or the fields tripled in size, but sunflowers as far as the eye could see. I went at golden hour to capture the experience and stayed until sunset, it was absolutely stunning. Peak sunflower week just happens to be my birthday week, so plan to visit the garden during the 3rd week of August. West Union Gardens also has a great U-Pick field for summer produce so be sure to add this location to your list. It’s located at 7775 NW Cornelius Pass Rd in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Where do I start with this park? I cannot believe I didn’t visit sooner! I was hired to take senior photos over the summer and this was the shoot location. The views overlooking the Tualatin Valley are absolutely stunning, but what surprised me the most was discovering the park’s rare prairie habitat. After my visit, I learned prairies are one of the rarest eco systems in the Willamette Valley. This is one spot I would love to see in the fall, so I’ll be adding this nature park to my fall bucket list as well. Located at 18892 SW Kemmer Rd in Beaverton, this is one adventure that checks all the scenic boxes.

This was the first summer in the Hops’ new stadium and it did not disappoint. If you’re looking for an elevated ball park experience, the Meridian is an all-inclusive hospitality experience that’s hard to beat. Think unlimited buffet-style food with complimentary beer, wine and cider, incredible dessert options, extra-wide shaded seats, private bars, and amazing views of the field. Located at 4450 NE Century Blvd in Hillsboro, this is one outing you don’t want to miss!

Located in Hillsboro, Oregon at 26385 NW Groveland Dr, be sure to see the fossilized dinosaur egg nest before you leave!

Peninsula Park Rose Garden was completed in 1913 as part of Portland’s 1912 “City Beautiful” movement. It’s Oregon’s oldest public rose garden and more than a century later, so many original features still remain – including the lantern-style street lights, stone pillars, brickwork, and the nearly 100 year-old fountain at the center of the rose garden. The rose garden is located at 700 N. Rosa Parks Way in Portland.

The fall looks just keep coming, and this one is giving classic autumn! My style vibe this season feels very timeless — think 90s Ralph Lauren magazine ad energy — and I’m loving it.

I’ve been focusing on adding pieces to my wardrobe that I know I’ll wear for many autumns to come. The kind of staples that pair effortlessly with old favorites and future finds alike. This outfit is the perfect example of that philosophy in action!

This blazer has easily become one of my favorite sale scores of the year, and these knee-high boots? A total Amazon gem. I love that they’re flat (my relationship with heels is… complicated), and they’re incredibly comfortable. They come in a range of colors, and I’m already eyeing the black and burgundy pairs — because when something’s this good, why stop at one? At this price point, I can basically grab two for the price of one, and I’m all about finding quality pieces that work beautifully and fit any budget.

I’ve been to Vegas twice this month for concerts — first to see Sir Paul McCartney and then for When We Were Young — and both times, this was my travel outfit (shirt buttoned, of course — I just wanted to show you the versatility of the Dreamscape Button Down while it was still warm enough to do so 😂).

It’s actually the same outfit I’ve worn to the office multiple times, which tells you everything you need to know. It feels like loungewear but looks totally put together — perfect for travel days, in-office days, and everything in between.

The ALO Suit Up Trousers (in regular length) have truly been a game changer in my wardrobe. I’d even go so far as to say they’re my most-worn item this year. I’m 5’4”, and the length is just right with my Docs or sneakers.

I also have the Dreamscape Button Down in white because it’s so versatile. I’m wearing a size XXS, and it still has that perfectly relaxed, slightly oversized fit I love.

I went to Target for one thing a couple of weeks ago…and left with several. Classic, right? That’s exactly why I try to avoid Target—but honestly, no buyer’s remorse here!

I spotted this Wild Fable puffer coat on a rolling rack of items waiting to be stocked and instantly knew it was coming home with me. I grabbed the only XS so fast! Between the gorgeous color, the adorable bow ties on the sleeves, and the fact that it’s waterproof—sold.

On the same trip, I also picked up this vanity crossbody bag, and I’ve been using it nonstop ever since. I love that the chain strap is detachable, and at just $20, it’s such a budget-friendly find for fall. The quality is seriously impressive for the price.

I’m honestly so confused why this blazer only has a three-star average review—because I am obsessed! It’s quickly become one of my favorite new additions to my fall wardrobe. And the best part? It’s under $50.

The little details make it feel way more elevated than the price tag suggests. The faux leather accents on the pocket flaps and lapel notches are such a chic touch, and the overall vibe of the blazer just screams fall (and you know I’m here for all things fall fashion).

I paired it with a short sleeve cardigan (mine’s from T.J.Maxx, but I found a super similar one at H&M!), a denim mini skirt and gave my socks a well-deserved spotlight. My mom got the socks for me, and I threw them on to wear with boots the other day—but they were too cute to keep hidden. They also match my fall color palette perfectly, so they got their moment. 🍂

You already know this is my season. I live for the cozy mornings, the changing leaves, all the fall festivities—and don’t even get me started on fall fashion.

If there’s one color I always gravitate toward this time of year, it’s burgundy. Total staple in my fall wardrobe. I may or may not have already added a few new burgundy pieces to my closet (oops 😅). This year I’ve been loving it paired with blush—it feels soft but still perfectly fall.
